Where is the good in goodbye?

It is almost the end of our high school days, yet those sweet and wonderful memories still linger in my head and in my heart. I still remember those times when I wanted to hasten the time and graduate. But now it’s exactly the opposite because at this very moment, I want to slow down the time where I can spend many days and even years together with my batch mates. Unfortunately, it’s truly impossible; time is running out for this batch. We have to keep track of the time, and savor this very last memory until we part ways.
Since elementary, we spend our school days almost together, the fact that our classrooms were always tied up as one or just 1 meter apart(exaggerating). We always see each others faces; we even knew each other very well. As we step another path and became high school students, it was sad knowing that our classrooms kept on moving further from each other, until we were million miles away. But it was not a dilemma for us; we even got closer and closer. Then we teased, then we fight, then we play, then we laugh and now we cry.
"Love is blind; friendship closes its eyes. Love is blind; friendship tries not to notice."
It’s not only because we have inseparable classrooms, it’s not only because we are batch mates, it’s because in all these differences and imperfections, we still accepted each others arms with warm hugs and loving kisses. Together we made an extraordinary diary of memories.
Friendship is indeed blind, and is also kind. We’ve been through thick and thin. We’ve been scolded many times, we’ve been through those painful thorns of roses yet we survived it, hand in hand. Our batch isn’t that perfect and smooth, of course there are some rough surfaces which we cannot hide. But we learn from these flaws and we develop even greater and stronger chain of friendship which I’m really proud of. We may sometimes have misunderstandings but it’s normal for those who are real friends…isn’t it?
“Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say good-bye. I hate goodbyes. I know what I need. I need more hellos.”
It’s almost the end of our high school days, and now we are about to open another door and face a new challenge in life. Yes, I’m a little bit anxious of what kind of challenge it would be, some of my batch mates may be excited, and some are nervous, I guess. But that’s the life of a student; you can’t just stay in high school forever. Life must go on, as the saying goes.
Graduation day is coming up, the day we are really looking forward to, the day when we accomplish yet another stage in our life, the day when we have to say goodbye. Togas are ready, all painted with white, all painted with smiles, all painted with unforgettable memories. Hugs and kisses will surely fly, and tears will definitely fall in our eyes. I may not possibly see some of my batch mates in the future, and this may be the last time we will be all together. But If God will allow, I hope there will be next time we can all be together again. This is not the end of our journey; I may encounter another set of friends in my college years, but replacing my batch mates is certainly impossible. I am but proud and lucky to be part of this funny, friendly and loving batch…
“There's a big world out there, bigger than prom, bigger than high school, and it won't matter if you were the prom queen or the quarterback of the football team or the biggest nerd. Find out who you are and try not to be afraid of it.”

Dear Diary,
“It is indeed ironic that we spend our school days yearning to graduate and our remaining days waxing nostalgic about our school days.” It is almost the end of our high school days, yet those sweet and wonderful memories still linger in my head and in my heart.
